HOW TO VIDEOS
I've wanted to have a go-to list of what to do to help with the success of your releases after we're produced your song. Here is a list you can make as a checklist of things to do to prepare for release and promotion.

Clean version (if needed)
-
Cover art (3000x3000)
-

2. Distribute Your Song
Use a digital distributor to get your music on all platforms:

-
TuneCore
-
CD Baby
Upload your song at least 3–4 weeks before release
3. Submit for Playlist Placement
-
Use: Spotify for Artists
-
Submit your unreleased track before release date
This is the only way to get on official Spotify playlists
4. Press & Blog Coverage
-
Billboard
-
Rolling Stone
-
Pitchfork
These typically require PR reps or strong traction. Find people who write for them, contact them directly via instagram/socials.
Focus on:
-
Local newspapers
-
Local TV stations
-
Regional music blogs
Search:
“Submit music + [your city]”
Examples:
-
Local Nashville blogs
-
College radio stations
-
Independent press outlets
👉 These are MUCH more likely to cover emerging artists and are highly effective.
5. Radio Promotion
-
College Radio (huge for breaking artists)
-
Local FM stations
-
Internet radio
-
Satellite Radio
Use:
-
College Radio Directory (Google search recommended)
👉 Email Program Directors (PDs), not generic inboxes
Go directly to their websites and look for contact info.
6. TikTok & Social Media Strategy
TikTok Posting Plan
-
Post daily for 2–3 weeks around release
-
Content ideas:

Use:
-
TikTok
-
Instagram

Begin influencer outreach
2 Weeks Before
-

8. Network
Make sure you interact with people online. Be genuine, don't spam. At the end of the day everyone can spot a phony.
